Accepting Payments

Accepting Payments

Accepting payments through Clarity allows you to integrate client payments within your project workflows.  For example, you can create a payment step within your workflow to require clients to pay before you complete a project or e-file a return.

To accept payments through Clarity Practice Management, you will need to already have a credit card processor and will need to signup for a payment gateway through Authorize.Net (https://www.authorize.net).  if you don't have a processor, Authorize.Net can provide you with both.

Clarity does not take the payment on your behalf, instead we use your gateway to send in payments to your credit card processor.  Your clients will see your name on their credit card statements.

After you setup your Authorize.Net account, Login to your Authorize.Net and get your API Login ID and Transaction Key save both of these in a safe place.  Then follow the steps below to set up Clarity for credit card payments:

      1.  Login to Clarity as an Administrator, Click the Administration menu

      2. In the Administration Menu Click Company, then Payment Gateway

      3. On the right side of the screen enter your Login API ID in the Login Field and enter Transaction Key

      4. Unless you want to test some transactions, leave the "Is Test Mode" set to "NO"

      5. Click Verify / Re-verify Credentials button to validate the information.
if the Login ID and Transaction key are correct, then you will get a green check mark.
      6. Click Save button to save your credentials

Congratulations, you are now ready to accept credit cards.
