Turn on time tracking

To turn on time tracking for your firm, go to Company Preference:



In company preferences, go to the Time Tracking preferences section:



To turn on the tracking for your firm, click on the "Time tracking" switch to set it to  
Next decide on the the remaining preference you want for your firm:

Auto project time tracking:  Turning this one, will bring up an auto timer to start the clock each time a staff member opens a project to start tracking time.
Require reason when user changes recorded time:  Turning this on, will require staff to enter comments if they changed a previously recorded time whether it was automatically or manually entered.
Task comments required:  Turning this on will require staff to enter comments with each time manual entry.  This is good for providing your clients comments on what the hours were charged for.
Minimum threshold to record time on a project:  This is the minimum time a staff member has to have a project open, before time is actually saved tot he project.  For example if you set 2 minutes as the value, then if a staff member opens a project for 1 minute and then leaves the project, the time will not be recorded.
Round recorded time to the nearest: After adding up all the time each staff worked on a project in a day, the time is then rounded up to the nearest selection you choose for each staff.
